// the open brief
We know what we built. We haven't decided what it sounds like.
Marktic is a full-stack AI platform. The product is real and the positioning is sharp. Now the brand needs the same level of clarity: a distinct identity that can carry the product across every audience, channel, and touchpoint.
We're looking for the person who decides what Marktic actually is: how it looks, how it talks, what it feels like to run into us anywhere.
// the role
What you'll do
You own the brand concept, the verbal identity, and the creative direction behind everything we put out. Across all four of our ICPs: solopreneurs, SMBs, startups, and agencies.
You are not the person who makes the artwork. You're the person who decides what the artwork needs to be, writes the brief that gets it made, and says yes or no when it comes back. You'll have a designer to execute, and a lot of the raw thinking will come out of your own writing.
Early-stage means the concept and the campaign land in the same week. You'll be defining what the brand is while already using it.
// scope, clearly
What's actually yours
- Brand concept and verbal identity. What Marktic stands for, the character it has, how it speaks. Tone, vocabulary, the lines we reuse, the things we'd never say. This is the foundation everything else gets checked against, and right now it doesn't exist.
- Creative direction. Concepts and briefs for design, video and copy. You define the idea and the intent. The designer decides how it's rendered. You review what comes back and keep it on brand, including when it's technically good and still wrong.
- Campaign creative across all four ICPs. One brand, four audiences who buy for different reasons. An agency doesn't respond to what moves a solopreneur. You make that work without splitting us into four companies.
- Creative input on product. UI copy, onboarding, the moments inside the product where the brand is either present or absent. You're in that conversation, not downstream of it.
- Getting it executed. You own the process, not just the idea. Pushing work through design and video, keeping it moving, making sure it ships. A concept that stays on the board isn't worth anything.
// how work moves
How the work actually flows
This role sits in the middle of everything, which is the part most creative jobs don't tell you about.
Partnerships needs an asset for a marketplace listing. Performance marketing is launching demand gen on YouTube and needs the creative to run. Product needs onboarding copy that doesn't sound like a manual. All of that arrives at your desk as a request, and leaves as a concept and a brief that design, video or copy can act on. Then you push it through and hand the finished work back to whoever runs it.
A real need arrives from the team.
You find the idea worth making.
Intent becomes something others can act on.
Design, video, or copy makes it real.
You keep it moving and hand it back.
So the job is roughly half original creative thinking and half turning other people's needs into work that's on brand and actually gets made. If the second half sounds like admin, this isn't the role. If it sounds like the thing that makes the first half matter, we should talk.
// who you are
You might be a good fit if…
Writes First
Copy is how you think, not something you do after the idea. You can write the headline, the manifesto, and the brief, and you know which one the situation calls for.
Concept + Craft
Holds a brand idea in one hand and a single line of microcopy in the other. Neither slips.
Systems Thinker
Brand as a system, not a mood. How a decision made for one ICP constrains the next three. What compounds and what's just a nice execution.
Owns It
Pushes back when the work is wrong, including when the request came from me. Owns it when wrong. No corporate theatre.

What we look for
Skills matter less than taste and clarity of thought, but here's what we're looking for.

What "good" looks like
- ✓Your brief comes back from the designer close to right on the first pass, because the brief was specific about intent and quiet about execution
- ✓You can explain why a line works, not just that you like it
- ✓You can look at four different ICP campaigns side by side and see one company
- ✓You kill your own idea when a better one shows up, without ceremony
Every one of these carries a number or a deliverable we set together in week one. The goals themselves aren't negotiable.
